The MAKABAYAN Bloc has presented during its meeting earlier today the provisions that they will questions in front of the members of the Cabinet.

One of those provisions is the 501 Billion peso “lump sum” special purpose fund, which a lot of them consider as a huge “Presidential Pork Barrel.”

Also, they will question the grassroots participatory budgeting which amounts to 20.9 Billion pesos.

Kabataan Partylist Rep. Terry Ridon said that the GPB is likely the Pork Barrel because it gives power to local government units to cancel and replace projects planned for their areas.

The group will also probe on the government’s plan to borrow money to fill-up the 283.7 Billion pesos budget deficit in 2015.  (with DZRH Leth Narciso-Abinales)
