Number of COVID-19 cases in PH exceeds 25K with 607 new infections

The number of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines climbed to 25,392 on Saturday, June 13 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 607 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, of which 504 are “fresh” or newly validated and 103 are late cases.

In its health bulletin, DOH said that the patients who recovered from the respiratory illness rose to 5,706 with 252 new cases, while 22 more fatalities brought the death toll in the country to 1,074.

Among the fresh cases, 246 are from the National Capital Region, 85 are from Region VII, and 173 are from other areas.

Among the late cases, 42 are from the National Capital Region and 61 are from other areas.

The health ministry also said that two duplicate cases were removed from Friday’s total confirmed cases.
