Jamal Murray scored 26 points, while Nikola Jokic finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Nuggets to earn a chance to tie the best-of-seven series.
Marc Morris Sr. made the two-point basket and free throw that allowed the Clippers to seize its biggest lead, 40-56, in the second quarter of the game.
Murray, and Jokic buried three back-to-back triples in 11-point run for Denver to take the lead, 94-88, for the first time in the game.
Kawhi Leonard hit two free throws for Los Angeles to bring the deficit down to two, 100-102, but Porter buried a triple, and Monte Morris put in two freebies for the Nuggets to keep the lead, 107-102.
Leonard registered 36 points and Paul George added 26 points for the Clippers.
