University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 76 host National University Lady Bulldogs try to stop the rampaging Adamson University Lady Falcons 11 a.m. today Wednesday, January 15 as UAAP softball action continues at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Second round hostilities in softball commence today with the opening 9 a.m. match between Ateneo De Manila University (1-5) and University of the East (2-4).  De La Salle University (1-5) battle University of the Philippines at 1 p.m.

The question in the minds of the other UAAP teams will be how to stop the virtually unbeatable Lady Falcons, three-time UAAP softball champions, who are 6-0 this season and 40-0 in three years.

NU (5-2) may be the team to do it. The Lady Bulldogs, who suffered two heart-breaking losses, will be looking to follow up their rousing victory over UE last Saturday.

Meanwhile, in UAAP women’s volleyball action Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws and University of Santo Tomas Lady Tigresses collide also today at The Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Tamaraws dropped their last two matches while the Tigresses are now mired on a three-game losing skid. Game time is 4 p.m. Winless squads UE and UP clash at 2 p.m.

FEU, holding a 2-3 record, is trailing fourth-running Adamson (3-2) by a full game. UST (2-4) is two games below the .500 mark at sixth spot.

Action shifts to the SM Mall of Asia Arena tomorrow Thursday when De La Salle University (5-0) battles Ateneo (5-1) at 4 p.m. in a rematch of the championship series of the past two years.

Shakey’s V-League champion National University, tied with Ateneo at second place with 5-1, and Adamson clash in the 2 p.m. duel.
