The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) assured the public that they will be on full alert status and will maximize its deployment during the remembrance of Holy Week.
According to Major General Guillermo Eleazar, director of the NCRPO, a total of 11,600 police officers will be deployed around Metro Manila during the Holy Week. He also added that police officers will be deployed at transportation terminals and other key facilities and locations
During a TV interview, Eleazar said that “everything is under control” and that the situation in Metro Manila in anticipation to the Lenten season is “generally peaceful.”
