The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is finalizing the security preparations for the second State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte.
NCRPO Director Oscar Albayalde estimated around 6,000 police are set to be deployed around Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City to ensure the security in the area during the SONA.
Albayalde added the police are ready to secure the safety inside and outside the mentioned area following the Crowd Disturbance Management Competition last Saturday where the Northern Police District (NPD) won.
The official said for the third time they will conduct a meeting on Tuesday or Wednesday to ‘fine tune’ some lapses seen in security preparations.
