National Capital Region Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde is angered upon seeing that the desk of Police Community Precinct 4 in San Juan City was unmanned on March 28, Holy Wednesday.

Albayalde was conducting his early morning patrols in Metro Manila when he visited PCP 4 in San Juan.

During his surprise visit, the NCRPO chief found S/Insp. Jorel Calipusan, station commander of PCP 4, soundly sleeping inside the police precinct.

Albayalde was also pissed that only four police officers were on-duty when there should be six police officers present in PCP 4.

Albayalde clarified that he is not angry that Calipusan was sleeping since the NCRPO official understands the situation of the exhausted station commander, who has not slept in the last 24 hours.

However, the NCRPO chief  pointed out that the police stations in Metro Manila need to be alert due to the upcoming 49th founding anniversary of the New People’s Army on March 29.

Albayalde also pointed out that the police of PCP 4 would have already been killed if it were criminal elements that entered the police station.

Other than PCP 4, the regional police director was pleased with his surprise inspections to other police stations, that started on the evening of March 27.

Albayalde also made rounds in various bus terminals in Metro Manila, including Araneta Bus station.
