It was generally peaceful in Metro Manila as the nation celebrated the Holy Week.

This was the statement of NCRPO Police Dir. Oscar Albayalde during his interview at DZRH’s Isyu.

According to Albayalde, only seven incidents of “akyat bahay” was registered, lowered than the 27 incidents last year.

Albayalde added that incidents of crimes have lessen too because of police visibility in the metro.

Albayalde said that more than 12,000 police have been deployed in different areas in NCR and this will continue until the opening of classes in July.

Aside from less crime rate, the NCRPO official said that no cop has been apprehended for sleeping while on duty.

Prior to this, Albayalde fumed during a random inspection of precincts upon seeing that some of its on-duty officers were sleeping, including their station commander.
