The National Bureau of Investigation will resume their anti-illegal drugs operations.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has ordered the Anti-illegal drugs unit and Task Force Against Illegal Drugs of NBI to undertake operations.
According to Aguirre, the NBI is a big loss in the campaign since it was them who discovered the 900 kilos of Shabu, worth Php 6 Billion, in San Juan City last December 2016.
It has been more than a month since the NBI stopped their investigation and case build-up against suspected syndicates of illegal drugs. Aguirre suspended the operations of the Anti-illegal drugs group of the agency last February.
President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the NBI and the Philippine National Police to step down from the illegal drugs campaign after some rogue members from the force were implicated in the Jee Ick Joo slay case.
