Yesterday was the fourth death anniversary of the lady who brought back Democracy in the country, the late President Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino.
The nation celebrated the event by offering yellow-colored flowers at the Ninoy-Cory Aquino Park in Bonifacio Drive, Ermita, Manila.
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno both headed the ceremony in commemorating the fourth death anniversary of Mrs. Aquino.
There stood a 15-ft. monument of the “Democracy Icon”.
Aside from Cory’s monument, the statue of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino and Jamie Cardinal Sin can also be found at the said place, recognizing their contribution to the return Democracy in the country after years of being under Martial Law.
