The chief of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) promised to resolve the cases of 67 policemen facing dismissal.
Philippine National Police Chief Director Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa revealed that NAPOLCOM Vice Chairman Rogelio Casurao assured that the cases against the said erring police will be finished this January.
Among the police nearing removal from service include a police senior superintendent, which is equivalent to a full colonel in the military.
During a news conference in Camp Crame, Dela Rosa said that they already advised Malacanang regarding the issue, and the Palace has declared the sacking of some PNP officials due to corruption.
The said cases of rogue police will be sent to Malacañang before the end of the month for the approval of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Among the various offenses committed by the 67 police include being absent without leave, grave misconduct, neglect of duty, and illegal drugs.
