The workers from the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) scurried on Friday, May 31 to the office of outgoing Manila Mayor Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada inside the Manila City Hall.
According to reports, around 10 AM this morning when at least 100 workers of MTPB rushed to the city hall. The protest stemmed after Estrada failed to give 300 Manila traffic enforcers their respective salaries since January this year.
In further investigation, it was known that Estrada hasn’t signed yet the funds allocated for the said workers.
Estrada has been ousted from his long-time term as the Mayor of country’s capital city last midterm election.
