Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her son Camarines Sur Representative Diosdado Macapagal-Arroyo filed a bill seeking to grant scholarships for public school teachers and their children.
The House Bill 3035, also known as Scholarship Grants to Public School Teachers and their Children Act of 2013” was filed by the younger Arroyo to “uplift the personal integrity of teachers by extending them proper recognition and the corresponding benefits.”
The bill seeks to grant public school teachers and their children free education from pre-schools, elementary, secondary, and tertiary education schools.
It will also grant public school teachers who have served at least two consecutives scholarship in masteral or post-graduate course.
For retired public school teachers, only part of the benefit would be granted.
