Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has spoken her piece against several media organizations for allegedly spreading “fake news” against her.
During the inquiry of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, Chaired by Senator Grace Poe, on Wednesday, Uson claimed to be a victim of fake news which has repeatedly made her a hot topic in social media.
“’Andito ako para suportahan ang hearing na ito dahil ako po ay biktima ng fake news” Uson said.
Uson was quick to pinpoint the several media networks after it released news that she was appointed as a consultant for the Bureau of Customs (BoC) and that she entered the Grand Mosque in Marawi without a hijab and while wearing combat boots and proceeded to take a selfie.
Uson also recalled reports of a blog post on Facebook which claims that she received money from former Senator Bongbong Marcos.
Meanwhile, Senator Bam Aquino blasted against the PCOO Undersecretary for failing to take their side of the story, in her published articles against them found on her blog.
“Sa dinami-daming mga blog mo tungkol sa amin dito may isang beses ba na humingi ka ng side namin?” Aquino asked Uson.
Uson then replied by saying: “With all due respect your honor, hindi po ako journalist. Blogger po ako.”
