The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday, May 8 announced the temporary suspension of the on-going implementation of the number coding scheme for provincial buses following the 2019 midterm polls on Monday.
The number coding scheme suspension will be lifted starting today, May 10 until Tuesday, May 14. It will then resume on Wednesday, May 15.
According to MMDA Chief Bong Nebrija, the measure aims to accommodate commuters traveling to and from the provinces during the elections.
On the other hand, MMDA is also said that the Unified Vehicle Volume Reduction Program is automatically lifted for public and private vehicles during the weekend and on election day on Monday which was also declared a regular holiday.
