The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will soon set a 60-kilometer per hour (kph) speed limit on all roads in the Metro.
In an interview, MMDA traffic chief Bong Nebrija said that all Metro Manila mayors have approved the proposal in a recent Metro Manila Council meeting. However, they are still waiting for all mayors to sign the resolution setting a speed limit in Metro Manila.
Nebrija also revealed that some mayors doubt that vehicles can even go as fast as 60-kph due to traffic congestion.
Once implemented, Nebrija said they will be apprehending offenders using speed guns.
