The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) confirmed the six –month-extension of the ‘ no window hour’ policy in the number coding in Metro Manila.

MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos said upon consultation between the Metro Manila Council and Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (I-ACT) both parties agreed that they should extend the said policy because of its positive effect in alleviating the traffic crisis in the metro.

In line with this, the window time of 10am-3pm will remain suspended.

The no window hour police starts at 7am-8pm, in 23 major roads in Metro Manila, including EDSA, C5, Las Pinas, Makati, Mandaluyong and all circumferential and radial roads.

Meanwhile, Orbos quashed reports that motorists are buying additional cars to avoid the no-window hour policy.

However, the said issue will be raised in their next MMDA meeting with the Metro Manila Council and I-ACT.
