The feisty Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago’s work has been affected due to her ailment.
In fact, the Senator took the top spot as the Senator with the most number of absences in the first regular session of Congress this year.
Based on the record, the veteran Senator was only present in three out of 83 sessions from July 22, 2013 up to the 11th of June, 2014.
Santiago is on Indefinite Qualified Medical leave because of her Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She even had to beg off her seat as one of the judges in the International Criminal Court.
Meanwhile, Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Teofisto Guigona III came in second. Guingona only attended 39 plenary sessions.
