Military puts the blame on Napenas

The military is putting the blame on former Special Action Force Commander Director Getulio Napenas on the death of the 44 SAF members during the Mamasapano encounter last January 25, 2015.

During the power point presentation at the Senate’s re-opening of the Mamasapano investigation, the Armed Forces of the Philippines showed a picture taken on the afternoon of January 25, hours after the said encounter.

Napenas was seen wearing civilian clothes and was smiling as if knowing nothing of what already transpired with his troops.

The AFP insisted that how will they be alarmed with what was happening in Mamasapano if Napenas himself was not showing any sense of urgency while asking for reinforcement.

Meanwhile, the reward for Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Bin Hir ‘Marwan’, has yet to be claimed.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has yet to give the informant its five million dollar reward money for being able to pinpoint the whereabouts of Marwan.

According to PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ricardo Marquez, the FBI still holds the said reward money but all requirements are now being processed in order for the informant to receive the said reward.

Prior to this, there have been reports that two members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front were responsible in revealing Marwan’s hideout.

However, during the Wednesday’s hearing, a civilian helped authorities in finding out where Marwan was hiding.
