Maynilad announces water service interruptions for the month of March

Customers of water services provider Maynilad Water Services Inc. in the National Capital Region, Cavite, and Bulacan will experience rotational water service interruptions this month.

Affected areas in NCR and Cavite include:

  • Caloocan City;
  • Las Pinas City;
  • Makati City;
  • Malabon City;
  • Manila;
  • Muntinlupa City;
  • Navotas City;
  • Paranaque City;
  • Pasay City;
  • Quezon City;
  • Valenzuela City;
  • Bacoor City;
  • Cavite City;
  • Imus City;
  • Kawit, Cavite;
  • Noveleta, Cavite;
  • and Rosario, Cavite.

The water service interruption will also hit Meycauyan Water District of Bulacan.

Maynilad explained that the water service interruption stemmed from the continuous decrease in the water level of Ipo Dam in Bulacan.

Hindi na ito umaabot sa maintaining level na 101 meters nitong mga nakaraang araw, kahit na nananatili sa 42 cubic meters per second ang alokasyon ng raw water mula sa Angat Dam,” Maynilad said in their Facebook page.

Asahan ang mas mahigpit na pagpapatupad nito (water interruption) sa mga susunod na araw hangga’t hindi tumataas ang water elevation sa Ipo Dam,” the water concessionaire added.
