Manila gets MMDA’s approval

The Metro Manila Development Authority already gave its nod to Manila City’s wish to have more local roads within its area.

According to Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, they sought the help of the MMDA in order to have more tools to be used in the streets, like traffic lights, signages and warning devices.

Moreno, the new traffic czar of Manila said that the additional equipment are of a big help in making sure that traffic runs smoothly.

Moreno expects that the new equipment will arrive any day starting tomorrow.

In line with this, the Vice Mayor thanked the MMDA, headed by its chairman Francis Tolentino for its support on the city’s goal to bring back the beauty and discipline in Manila.

Meanwhile, the Manila Police District and all the Security Officers in malls, hotels, and other establishments launched their necessary preparations in case of any terrorism threat amid the recent explosion in a restaurant inside a mall in Cagayan De Oro a few days ago.

Eight individuals have died and more than a dozen were injured in the said blast.

MPA Director Chief Supt. Isagani Ganabe Jr. is calling all Manila residents to immediately report to authorities any suspicious stuff or person in any part of the city.   (with Rey Sibayan)
