Always tender and motherly to her colleagues in DZRH, Malou Cabral is always the go-to person not only for news updates, but also for useful pieces of advice and life hacks. It is rare to find a person who is equally reliable as a workmate and a friend, but Malou pulls off both.
Malou took up units under the Education program in University of the East. Despite being an undergraduate, she persevered to realize her dreams. Malou believed that the key to success is education, but life also taught her that nothing’s impossible when you’re hardworking, resourceful, and determined. She started her career in DZRH as a scriptwriter for Ric Radam’s program “Johny Tango”. She has proven her colleagues that being an undergrad does not make her less competent as a radio journalist when she was cited as the “News Writer of the Year” in the 2000 Don Manolo Elizalde Awards.
Malou’s diligence and dedication to her job led her to being one of the station’s current Managing Editors. She also produces the program “Damdaming Bayan” hosted by veteran broadcaster Joe Taruc and Milky Rigonan. She is also heard on-air as a segment reporter of “Kusina ni Tita Ems” in the program Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
Malou also produces Magandang Umaga Pilipinas anchored by Henry Uri and Sonny Casulla at 4am, ACS Headlines with Neil Ocampo at 6am, and Mga Pangunahing Balita newscast with veteran anchormen Joe Taruc and Deo Macalma at 7am.
