Malacanang refused to comment on the latest tirades of former President Fidel V. Ramos against President Benigno Aquino III.
PCOO Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. made the statement after Ramos criticized PNOY for using words that are not appropriate for a President, especially when he blamed former PNP-SAF Commander Chief Supt. Getulio Napenas for his failure in the Mamasapano mission.
Coloma said that they respect the opinion of FVR regarding the said issue as a senior statesman and a former President.
Prior to this, FVR said that it’s not appropriate and unpresidential for Aquino to call Napenas “tanga-tanga” because of the bloody encounter in Mamasapano last January 25.
Also, Ramos was dismayed with the latest speech of PNOY during the prayer gathering in Malacanang, mocking the behavior of the supposed Commander-in-chief.
FVR criticized the advisers of PNOY for failing to give dignity to the Office of the President.
