Malacanang remains mum on Erice’s spat with VP Binay

Malacanang going after the Binays?

Malacanang refuses to get involved as Caloocan City Congressman Edgar Erice threw some harsh words against the family of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Presidential Communications Group Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. made the statement after Congressman Erice dared VP Binay to quit his post as part of President Benigno Aquino III’s Cabinet.

Aside from this, Erice has also asked Makati Representative Abigail Binay to explain to the public the transfer of her PDAF to some questionable NGOs, including the Gabay and Pag-asa Masa Foundations.

Coloma said that this was Erice’s own initiative to speak his mind during the latter’s privilege speech in Congress a few days ago and that the Palace has no knowledge about it.

Meanwhile, PNOY continues to trust VP Binay and the other members of his Cabinet.

In line with this, the Palace is also clueless on Makati Mayor Jun-jun Binay’s accusation against Erice that the latter only wants to ruin the good relationship between the Aquinos and Binays.

Also, the Palace can only utter “no comment” on Binay’s gathered information that allegedly the Aquino administration is set on filing charges against the Binay family.
