Malacañang on Friday tendered their congratulations to the 2018 bar exam passers and urged them to join the government and help in building a “progressive, peaceful” nation.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo addressed that he “hopes that many of our country’s new lawyers consider pursuing a career in the government and help build a progressive and peaceful nation that will provide a comfortable life for all.”
“Their youth, idealism, academic competence and personal integrity are welcome under the present Administration, and should be in succeeding administrations as well,” he said.
On Friday, a new roster of board passers was released by the Supreme Court which was shown in front of the Supreme Court compound in Padre Faura Street and can be viewed at the official website of the high court.
Sean James Borja, the valedictorian of the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) School of Law Class of 2018, garnered a grade of 89.31 percent to top the 2018 Bar Exams.
Panelo at the same time urged the new lawyers “to inculcate in their minds that integrity is the highest in the hierarchy of virtues in the legal profession.”
“We wish the successful examinees all the best as they begin to pursue a path that is exciting as it is rewarding even if at times perilous,” he added.
