The Malacañang Palace denied allegations that President Benigno Aquino III has a P1 trillion pork barrel under the 2014 proposed national budget.

Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte slammed the rumors after former National Treasurer Leionor Briones accused the President of having a trillion peso hidden fund that can’t be released without the President’s approval.

In Briones’ accusation, part of the P1 trillion undisclosed funds is a calamity fund worth P7.5 billion; contingent fund of P1 billion; Department of Education school building program worth P7.5 billion; E-government fund amounting to P2.479 billion; international commitments of P4.8 billion and other budgetary support funds.

Valte, however, insisted that Budget Secretary Butch Abad has explained the details of the said fund and that it can be found on the Department of Budget and Management’s website.
