LTO warns bus operators to refrain from allowing passengers to stand while in transit

nlex-trafficA few days before Christmas, a lot of people are still lining up in busses waiting to go home and spend the holidays with their families.

In line with this, the Land Transportation Office has warned bus operators from allowing too many passengers to board their busses.

The LTO insisted that they do not allow standing passengers in busses especially if it’s long trips like Luzon to Visayas.

Prior to this, the LTO stopped a bus going to Leyte due to overloading.

Meanwhile, the Araneta Bus terminal in Quezon City will continue to implement stricter security measures by having two K9 units continuously going around, sniffing bags to figure out if there are contrabands from passengers.
