The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will decide on whether to cancel the driver’s license of a call center supervisor who was caught assaulting a taxi driver in Quezon City.

The decision was announced by Atty. Aileen Lizada, board member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Taxi driver Virgilio Doctor filed a complaint alleging that Cherish Sharmaine Interior, a call center agent, slapped and insulted him and destroyed the side mirror of his taxi due to a traffic altercation.

The LTFRB board member said that in her opinion, the actions and anger of Interior was wrong and out of place since her vehicle wasn’t hit by the taxi driver.

“We leave it to their wisdom and judgement.” Lizada said during an interview with DZRH. “Sa amin sa LTFRB, we just want to send a strong message that we are supporting the taxi driver here.”
