Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Secretary Ricky Carandang recently resigned his post on Monday and President Benigno Aquino III accepted it, and rumors have been circulating that it has something to do with his low salary.
Aquino said Carandang resigned from his post because the former Cabinet member is only taking home P95,000 or 40-percent of his total salary because of taxes.
Aquino explained that he understand the reason for Carandang’s resignation and even thanked him for serving his administration for the past three years.
Despite Carandang’s resignation, work has to continue within the communications group.
Aquino said there’s no reason to enforce reorganization within the communications group because the group has been intact.
