The all-Filipino boy group “SB19” made history as they enter the “Next Big Sound” chart of the US Billboard on Wednesday, November 20.

The group clinched the sixth spot in the said chart that lists down musical acts for their fast-rising popularity.

On Instagram, the group extended their gratitude to their fans, also known as aurum’s, and even promised to work harder in the future.

“A’TINs! No words can describe how thankful we are for this great news. Thank you so much for supporting our dreams and believing in us. Everything seems possible with you. We promise to work harder!” the post reads.

According to the Billboard website, the Next Big Sound chart tracks the fastest accelerating artists during the past week, across all major social music sites, statistically predicted to achieve future success. The chart is measured by Next Big Sound, an American company that provides analytics on online music.

Other artists who were also featured in the chart are BIA, Rotimi, and A.C.E., among others.

Shortly after, fans of  Sejun, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin instantly dominated the Twitter trends with the hashtag: #SB19onBillboardNBS

Debuted in 2018, the group trained in South Korea and is being handled by a Philippine branch of a Korean Company “ShowBT Philippines Corp.” The group had released their debut single “Tilaluha” which has Filipino lyrics in it!

SB19 achieved mainstream popularity after a video of the members’ dance practice for their sophomore single, “Go Up,” went viral on social media in September.
