LOOK: 8 films make it to first-ever Metro Manila Summer Film Fest

The eight (8) official film entries for the first-ever Metro Manila Film Festival – Summer Edition (MMFF) have been released on Monday, March 2.

Official entries to the summer film festival include the following:

  • A HARD DAY
    Starring: Dingdong Dantes & John Arcilla
    Directed by Lawrence Fajardo
  • TAGPUAN
    Starring: Alfred Vargas, Iza Calzado, & Shaina Magdayao
    Directed by McArthur Alejandre
  • LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE
    Starring: Alex Gonzaga, Xian Lim, & Kylie Verzosa
    Directed by RC Delos Reyes
  • ISA PANG BAHAGHARI
    Starring: Nora Aunor, Philip Salvador, & Michael De Mesa
    Directed by Joel Lamangan
  • LOVE OR MONEY
    Starring: Coco Martin & Angelica Panganiban
    Directed by Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar
  • COMING HOME
    Starring: Jinggoy Estrada & Sylvia Sanchez
    Directed by Adolfo Alix, Jr.
  • NGAYON KAYA
    Starring: Paulo Avelino & Janine Gutierez
    Directed by Prime Cruz
  • THE MISSING
    Starring: Joseph Marco, Ritz Azul, & Miles Ocampo

Unlike the annual MMFF every December, the summer edition will only be screened for 11 days from April 11 to April 21, 2020.

According to MMDA, the Parade of Stars will be held on April 4, Saturday.

In 2019, Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, one of the newest members of the MMFF Executive Committee, proposed the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival.

Usually held in December, the MMFF is meant to promote local films all throughout its run.
