The franchise of the ABS-CBN Corporation is in the process of renewal.
Broadcaster Mario Teodoro ‘Ted’ Failon, an anchor of ABS-CBN’s radio station DZMM, said on Wednesday, Oct.9 , that House Deputy Speaker Vilma Santos, popularly known as Ate Vi, and other lawmakers have filed bills to renew the franchise of the media network.
Failon also said that all members of the ABS-CBN look forward and pray that Congress will renew the franchise of the network so that they can continue to serve the public.
President Rodrigo Duterte has repeatedly assailed ABS-CBN and even threatened to block the renewal of the television network’s 25-year franchise, which will expire on March 30, 2020.
