The Los Angeles Lakers booked a ticket to the finals of the NBA Western Conference after routing the Houston Rockets, 115-96, in Game Five of the semifinals.
LeBron James finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds, while Kyle Kuzma added 17 points for the Lakers to seize its fourth win in the best-of-seven series.
After trailing behind by 15 points, 35-20, at the end of the first quarter, the Rockets managed to outscore the Lakers at the next period, and bring the deficit down, 62-51, before the start of the second half.
A triple by PJ Tucker and a lay-up from James Harden allowed the Rockets to get as close as 65-59 in the third quarter.
However, a three-point basket by LeBron started a 15-point run that put the Lakers up 83-61, at the third quarter, and from there they never felt threatened.
Rajon Rondo buried a triple for the Lakers to seize its highest lead, 101-71, in the game.
Harden scored 30 points, and Jeff Green registered 13 points to pace the Rockets.
