South Korean actress and former f(x) member Sulli, whose real name Choi Jin Ri, confirmed to have died on Monday, October 14. She was 25 years old.
According to reports from Korean media outlet Soompi, Sulli’s manager found her dead at her home in Seongnam of Gyeonggi Province on October 14 at approximately 3:21 p.m. KST. Her manager went to her home after being unable to get in touch with the singer since their phone call at about 6:30 p.m. KST on October 13.
Reports from Korea Herald said that her body was found in her bedroom on the second floor. Police and the emergency crew arrived about nine minutes after the report was received and an onsite inspection revealed that rigor mortis had set in.
Sulli was a child actress in South Korea before she debuted in 2009 as a member of the girl group f(x) under the agency, SM Entertainment. However, in 2014, she went hiatus on the group citing physical and mental exhaustion from rumors being spread about her.
In 2015, she left her group to pursue her acting careers still under the same agency.
