Korean actress Oh In-Hye, who was found unconscious on Monday inside her home at Incheon City in South Korea, has died.
In a report from Korean media outlet Koreaboo, an exclusive report from Dispatch said an acquaintance of Oh In Hye confirmed to the media outlet that she has passed away.
On Monday, Incheon Yeonsu Police Station and Incheon Songdo Fire Station revealed that at around 5 AM, the 36-year-old actress was found in a state of cardiac arrest at her home in Songdo International Business District, Incheon.
Emergency procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were immediately performed before she was taken to a hospital nearby. Her breathing and pulse returned but she did not regain consciousness and passed away.
A police source stated that Oh In Hye’s friend had called the police because they could not get in touch with the actress.
The source added, “We suspect that she was attempting suicide. We have not yet investigated those involved, so we do not have any details.”
Memorial service will be held at Inha University Hospital in Incheon and the funeral ceremony will be held on September 16. Oh In-Hye’s final resting place is the Incheon Family Park.
Authorities are investigating if the actress committed suicide.
Born on Jan. 4, 1984, Oh In-Hye made her acting debut in the movie “Sin of the Family” in 2011.
In 2011, she became well-known when she wore an extremely revealing orange dress at the opening ceremony of the 16th Busan International Film Festival in October.
Since then, she has appeared in several more movies and dramas, but she has not had a consistent role in either a movie or drama since the 2014 movie The Plan.
May she rest in peace.
