South Korean actor Kim Kibum on Thursday announced through his Instagram account that he is parting ways with long-time management, SM Entertainment.
An original member of Hallyu royalty Super Junior, Kibum posted on his IG account a picture of him with a caption: “2015 August 18. Finished with SM Ent. Let’s begin my new life. (For the time we are together, SM, Thank You)
The 27 year old actor has been on hiatus from all Super Junior activities for six years now. Based from reports, he is more interested in pursuing his acting career and has been actively doing drama series in South Korea and China.
To show that there is no bad blood between Kibum and SM Entertainment and the other members of Super Junior, SME confirmed that end of Kibum’s contract and asks the fans to continue supporting their idol.
Meanwhile, Super Juniors’ Heechul and Eunhyuk followed Kibum in Instagram, vice versa.
Heechul posted a comment on Kibum’s photo stating that he worked hard and even invites him when the group holds a gathering. He will caked him personally. (Super Junior has a tradition of caking their members during their birthdays, tomorrow is Kibum’s birthday)
Ryewook, one of the youngest in the group also sent out his wishes to Kibum through his Twitter account. He said that hopefully the “time they spent together in Super Junior will last as good memories for a long time.”
