After four years of hardship in college, Congratulations! Finally, you now have earned your College Degree. Probably, you are excited to take on the ‘real’ world, right?

It’s indeed an exciting time for the youth wherein they are so eager to make their way in the real world.

But the biggest question facing them is ‘What do I do next?’

Logically, the next step after graduation is finding your first job. Constructing your career and planning your future where a lot of fresh graduates competing seem to be challenging. You’ll no longer be competing with fellow students but battling out with fresh grads looking for jobs like you.

Every year, thousands of youths graduate from hundreds of universities to start a professional life. Most of them are not even aware of what actually is needed to start a successful career. I know you’re a bit worried now but wait! Before you think that far, you have to do well to prepare yourself!

Luckily, you don’t have to go out in the crowd without a clue. In the latest episode of Boses ng Kabataan hosted by Miss Judie Ann Abejero and Sir Val Gonzales discussed easy steps on finding a job right after graduation that will surely enlighten you.

There are several steps that you must prepare for application. Miss Judie Ann and Sir Val enumerated tips to help you.

First, choose your career. By the time you graduate, you might have already decided your career choice.

Nothing is more important than your happiness. Finding and doing a job just for the sake of money almost turns to no good. If you are not passionate about what you do, it can get boring.

After choosing what path you are tracking in, second step is writing your Resume. It’s the ‘product’ that you’d be using to ‘sell’ yourself to the company. As the saying goes “first impression lasts”, it also provides your first introduction to the company.

Remember, only significant and most relevant information must be provided in your resume. Putting too much information could cause employers to lose interest and you might see your own resume ending up in trash.

The third step is to buckle up for your interview. An interview is just the partial work done. Your interview must be impressive to land you your dream job. You’ve already made an impression on your resume but now is the time to make it ‘real’. Don’t forget to dress appropriately and of course, wear your sweet  smile.

And now, you’re good to go! Keep in mind Miss Judie Ann and Sir Val’s steps. Those pieces of advice will surely gear you up to employment.

Remember, begin while you’re still in college and landing your dream career will be easy.
