Indonesian national arrested in NAIA for bringing Php 54 million worth of shabu

The Bureau of Customs (BoC) seized Php 54 million worth of crystallized methamphetamine, also known as shabu, from an Indonesian national who arrived on Monday, Oct. 7, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

Authorities identified the Indonesian national as Agnes Alexandra, a passenger of flight 5J 528 from Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Customs personnel discovered eight kilograms of shabu wrapped in an aluminum foil and black plastic bags after the baggage of Alexandra underwent x-ray inspection upon her arrival at the airport.

Members of the BoC and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency prepare to file charges against Alexandra for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
