The ride-sharing application Grab Philippines has offered a Php 100,000 cash reward to any person who can name the killer of Grab car driver Gerardo Maquidato Jr.
According to Bryan Cu, country head of Grab Philippines, it is the company’s responsibility together with the police force to find the perpetrator who is responsible for Maquidato’s death.
Cu has also vowed to used their company’s technology to hunt down the lone assailant while simultaneously cooperating with authorities.
Grab driver Gerardo Maquidato Jr. was shot in the back of his head in the wee hours of October 26 in Bonanza Street, Barangay 189 in Pasay City where the lone assailant dragged Maquidato’s body out of the car and into the pavement and proceeded to steal his silver Toyota Innova (YV 7109).

Recently, the ride-sharing app has obliged its passengers to present an ID and to name their exact pick-up and drop-off locations before travel, especially during the night shift.
