Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin assures the public that the government is ready on any eventuality that may ensue as they run after terrorist Basit Usman.
Gazmin together with DILG Secretary Mar Roxas, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang and PNP-OIC Dir.Gen. Leonardo Espina were present as the MILF returned the firearms that they took from the 44 members of the PNP-SAF during the Mamasapano encounter.
The official added that the MILF’s sincerity will be gauge from their continuous help in hunting down Usman.
Also, they are still waiting for the MILF to return all of the firearms of the fallen 44, as part of their sincere intention in pushing for peace in Mindanao.
