Global Port opens Governors Cup with a bang

Global Port Batang Pier started strong in their campaign by checking their first assignment, the Air21 Express, 101-94, in the season-ending PBA Governor’s Cup last night at the MOA Arena in Pasay.

Global Port import Marketh Cummings led the attack for the Batang Pier by tallying 27 markers and pulling down 11 rebounds.

From a tight 24-20, the Batang Pier broke loose to end the half at 53-42.

In the second game, Rain or Shine continues its hat trick over San Mig Cofee after a 79-75 victory behind import Arizona Reed.

Reed blasted for 28 points and 20 rebounds. However, the former best import turned the ball over 10 times.
