Amidst their poor standing in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, Brgy. Ginebra and Blackwater Elite will be replacing their imports for the mid-season conference.
Ginebra has tapped the services of Justin Brownlee, who previously led the team to two PBA championships and also assisted Alab Pilipinas in dominating the latest season of the ASEAN Basketball League.
Brownlee will be the team’s third import for the conference and he will be replacing Chuck Garcia who averaged 17.8 points, and 10.3 rebounds during his short stint with the Gin Kings.
Meanwhile, Blackwater Elite will be bringing back Henry Walker in order to replace Jarrid Famous.
Sheryl Reyes, the agent of both Brownlee and Famous, confirmed the return of the two imports to the PBA through her social media accounts.
Currently, Ginebra has a 1-3 win-loss record while Elite has lost all six of its games and remains at the bottom of the tournament standings.
Walker will be included in Blackwater’s line-up for their game against NLEX Road Warriors on May 30, and Brownlee will suit up for Ginebra in their game against Meralco Bolts on June 1.
