Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin has been dodging questions regarding the issue of the Bangsamoro Basic Law and states that we should just wait for the result of the Senate’s inquiry.

Gazmin refused to comment on the issue of BBL as it is currently being discussed in Congress.

In an exclusive interview with DZRH, Gazmin is accompanying President Benigno Aquino III on his state visit to Japan.

Gazmin said that Congress is still scrutinizing the said proposed bill before it reaches the Senate.

There have been reports that the reason why the BBL has been railroaded in the Lower House was because some lawmakers were bribed by the President to favor the Malacanang version instead of the original proposal.

A few days before the deliberation of the BBL draft in Congress, the President called a meeting with some Congressmen in Malacanang.
