After the Supreme Court issues its decision, extending the ‘Status Quo Ante’ order regarding the proposed hero’s burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, former Senator Bongbong Marcos said that his family can be patient for a few more days.
In Marcos’ issued statement, the former Senator said that we should all give the Supreme Court time to study the said matter. “I am confident that they will ultimately agree to let my father be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.”
Marcos also extended his appreciation to all of his father’s supporters who launched the “Kailian march”, from Ilocos Norte to Manila.
Marcos said that that when he ran for office in the last elections, eh was under a platform of “unity” and that this show of support for the burial of the late “strongman” at the Libingan ng mga Bayani is a continuation of his crusade for unity.
Lastly, Marcos expressed his gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for his continued support in “unifying and healing effort to bury my father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.”
