Fire hits residential area in Sta. Cruz, Manila

UPDATED — A residential area in Sta. Cruz, Manila was engulfed in fire on Tuesday, October 22.

Based on the report of RH 29 Boy Gonzales, the fire started at 11:50 a.m., engulfed several houses along Quiricada Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

However, 30 minutes after, the fire was raised from Task Force Alpha level to  Task Force Bravo level.

As of posting the fire has been under control, according to fire emergency dispatch portal TXTFIREPhilippines.

According to reports, two fire volunteers were reportedly hurt in the incident. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident since the houses in the area were made of light materials, causing them to burn quickly.
