Filipinos back from Saudi

Twenty-two Overseas Filipino Workers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who availed the repatriation of the government due to the kingdom’s crackdown on illegal migrants arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Monday, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said.

Aboard Etihad Airways flight 428, the OFWs arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 Monday night.

OWWA administrator Chief Carmelita Dimzon said these Filipinos are entitled to livelihood assistance.

The deadline of the rounding up all undocumented foreign workers started on November 3.

Many Filipinos have arrived in the country from Saudi due to the crackdown.

The OWWA said that OFWs who were repatriated can still return to Saudi Arabia once they are cleared with their documents.
