‘Prettyboy’ Jerwin Ancajas remains the Internationa Boxing Federation Super-flyweight champion after winning his first bout in the United States of America.

During the fight at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, on January 4, Ancajas floored his Mexican opponent Israel Gonzales three times before the referee stopped the 12-round match and declared the Filipino champion as winner via knock-out.

The Pinoy Pride from Davao Del Norte finished his 4th title defense with a left hook under two minutes in the 10th round.

Due to this victory, the professional record of Ancajas improved to 29 wins, one loss, and 20 knock-outs, while his challenger, Gonzales, tasted his second defeat in his 30 fights.
