Senator Jinggoy Estrada stands by his word that he did not do anything wrong with his congressional priority development assistance fund (PDAF) and rejected growing calls for him to resign his post.
“Why should I take a leave? I have done nothing wrong,” Estrada, who is also facing plunder charges at the Office of the Ombudsman, said.
Potential Ruby Tuason pinned Estrada down on Thursday during the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing on the pork scam, saying she delivered bags full of money amounting to P8 million to P10 million to Estrada.
But Estrada just brushed these allegations off of his shirt.
Blue Ribbon committee chairman Teofisto Guingona III said it is up to Estrada if he is going to take a leave of absence.
“That’s for Senator Estrada to address. I think I should not be the one to say that,” Guingona said. Leth Narciso
