Manila Mayor Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada warned the public to refrain from posting their travel plans for the Holy Week in their social media accounts.
According to Estrada, posting your travel plans social media is like inviting thieves to enter your house.
Due to this, Estrada advised the public to not inform others of the schedule and location of their trips and that their house will be vacant since it could increase the incidents of Akyat-Bahay.
Meanwhile, by the order of the mayor of Manila, Oplan SumVac of the Manila Police District will be implemented throughout the summer season for travelers.
More than 1,680 police officers from the MPD have been deployed in crowded areas all over Metro Manila amid the commemoration of the Holy Week and summer vacation.
