Employees who will work on April 9, Araw ng Kagitingan, will get additional pay as Wednesday is a regular holiday, as per Malacañang.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Sunday that workers who would work on that day are entitled to double-pay.
DOLE’s pay rules provide that an employee who will not report to work during a regular holiday will be paid 100 percent of his salary for that day, including the cost of living allowance (COLA).
Those who will report to work on that day will receive double or 200 percent of their regular salary, for the first eight hours of work.
Employees who work in excess of eight hours will be paid an additional 30 percent of hourly rate on that day.
Workers who work during a regular holiday that falls on their supposed rest day will be paid an additional 30 percent of their daily rate of 200 percent.
